1. Canadian Country Music Week

September 6-9, 2018
Various Locations and FirstOntario Centre

It’s time to break in those cowboy boots because Canadian Country Music Week is coming to Hamilton. The jam-packed week includes a music festival (with a Songwriters’ Series, talent showcases, a full-day FanFest, a Legends Show). Hamilton’s own home-grown music talents will also be featured during Hamilton Country Crawl at venues throughout the city. The week concludes Sept. 9 with a star-studded Canadian Country Music Awards show hosted by Shania Twain, broadcast live from FirstOntario Centre in downtown Hamilton with performances Keith Urban, Lindsay Ell, High Valley, Tim Hicks, Brett Kissel and Meghan Patrick.


2. Locke Street Festival

Locke Street FestivalThe incredibly popular annual Locke Street Festival returns to this great Hamilton dining and shopping destination, with live music & entertainment, vendors, food and everything you need for a fun-filled family day out.

3. Christie Antique & Vintage Show

September 8, 2018
Chritsie Lake Conservation Area

Canada’s largest outdoor antique and vintage show is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Shop hundreds of Canada’s best dealers across 10 acres packed with treasures just waiting to be discovered.  Here you’ll find china, jewelry, golf items, tins, scientific instruments, folk art, postcards, native artifacts, Canadiana, fine art, nostalgia items, furniture and much more! Food vendors and a beer and wine tent will be onsite. Rain or shine. Admission fee applies.


4. Supercrawl 2018

September 13 – 16, 2018
James Street North

The mother of all block parties is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a huge four-day music and arts festival in downtown Hamilton with tons of live music, art installations, food and fun. While the focus has always been music, the accompanying cultural experiences are just as noteworthy. Visitors should expect the unexpected as they wander the downtown core. A perfect introduction to Hamilton’s buzz-worthy arts scene. Headliners at Supercrawl 2018, the festival’s tenth annual edition, will include Broken Social Scene, Lights, Wintersleep, Owen Pallett, Cadence Weapon, The Dirty Nil, and Elliott Brood.

5. Binbrook Fair

September 14 – 16, 2018

Experience the colours, tastes and sights of rural life at the 164th Annual Binbrook Fair. This great family destination serves up midway rides, exhibitors, great food and live entertainment for all ages.


6. 10th Anniversary of Telling Tales: A Family Festival of Stories

September 16, 2018
Westfield Heritage Village

Telling TalesNurture your family’s love of reading at free event celebrating Canada’s leading children’s writers and illustrators in a beautiful, outdoor setting. Meet authors, artists and musicians and take part in the popular Book Swap and Shop. Free parking at Rockton Fairgrounds with complimentary shuttle service to Westfield. (Please note there is no parking at Westfield.)


7. Ancaster Fair

September 20 – 23, 2018

The beloved Ancaster Fair includes a baby show, a talent show and the time-honoured Demolition Derby! Throw in midway rides, games and great food and you’ve got the makings of a perfect fall getaway for the whole family. This year, the popular fall fair celebrates its 168th anniversary.


8. Hamilton Music and Film Festival

September 22 – 23, 2018

The 11th Annual Hamilton Music & Film Festival (HMFF) celebrates some of Hamilton’s best film and music offerings. Hundreds of attendees enjoy film and video screenings between live music performances.  Winning filmmakers and bands are rewarded prizes.

9. Viva Verdi, Brott Music Festival

September 27, 2018

10. Apple Festival
