CCMA LEGENDS SHOW: A TRIBUTE TO YESTERDAY AND TODAY

The 2018 CCMA Legends Show will be hosted by award-winning artist Beverley Mahood and feature performances by Patricia Conroy, Russell deCarle, Jess Moskaluke, Murray McLauchlan, Michelle Wright,  Chad Brownlee, Terri Clark, Aaron Goodvin, Charlie Major, Jason McCoy, JJ Shiplett and Mahood herself. 

Making this year’s show extra special is a collaboration between the CCMA and the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. Titled Then and Now, this collaboration will see the release of an album (Then and Now – Volume 1) that features Hall of Fame inductees performing their biggest hits as a duet with some of today’s top names in Canadian country music.

Tickets range from $40 to $65 (plus fees) and will be available in-person through the FirstOntario Centre Box office and online at ticketmaster.ca

Officially opening its doors on Friday, September 7, CCMA Fan Village will see its first night of festivities culminate with a headlining performance by 2018 Apple Music Fans’ Choice nominee, Tim Hicks.

SiriusXM’s Top of the Country Finale, in partnership with the CCMA, features some of the next big names in country music, all battling it out for $25,000. See Jason BenoitAndrew Hyatt and Leaving Thomas take to the stage and find out first-hand who takes home the title.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8

There’s no party like an iHeartRadio party! On Saturday, iHeartRadio CCMA Fan Village will be the hottest ticket in town. Starting off at a sprint, fans won’t be want to slow down once they’ve finished the first-ever CCMA Country Run presented by iHeartRadio. Stepping off the route and into an epic Pancake Breakfast, fans will also have the opportunity to take photos with artists such as Terri ClarkTim Hicks, the Hunter BrothersBrett KisselJess MoskalukeMeghan PatrickDallas SmithThe Reklaws and The Washboard Union at CCMA FanFest.

Broadcasting live from Hamilton, ON, iHeartRadio CCMA Fan Village will be host to performances by artists such as Gord Bamford, Paul Brandt, Chad Brownlee, David James, Steven Lee Olsen and Tenille Townes.

Warming up with the CCMA Sweat Session and live performances by Andrew Hyatt and JoJo Mason, September 9 will be chock-full of excitement — from the CCMA Countdown Concert to the CCMA Red Carpet and the 2018 CCMA Awards Show, fans are encouraged to arrive early so they don’t miss a thing.

The SiriusXM Top Of The Country music competition and program comes to an exciting finish tonight as the three regional finalists take to the stage one last time, and compete for a panel of celebrity judges. Make your way down to Fan Village to see these rising stars perform and stay for the headlining act that will officially get the party started for the weekend festivities of Country Music Week.

CCMA COUNTRY RUN

Saturday, September 8, 2018

Hamilton is home to the first-annual CCMA Country Run presented by iHeartRadio. Set to get people up and moving, the interactive 5K event will see country music fans run alongside some of their favourite artists. With live, acoustic performances as its soundtrack, the event will encourage fans to dress up in their wildest country attire while running/walking the trail for a chance to win a long-list of incredible prizes.

Registration is now open via raceroster.com for $40/participant. Registration packages include a free t-shirt that participants can creatively decorate, a refuelling breakfast and the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with 2018 CCMA Award nominees just 24 hours before country’s biggest night of music — the CCMA Awards.

The perfect opportunity to star gaze: If you’re a fan of Canadian country artists and personalities, the Red Carpet is the place to be. Fans are encouraged to get to the FanZone early for prime spots to get a glimpse of, and cheer on, their favourite stars.
