Christmas At Dundurn

Step back in time this Christmas at Hamilton Civic Museums

As a child I would visit Dundurn Castle more times than I can count: with family, out-of-town visitors, or friends. I still absolutely adore returning to this historic mansion to daydream and revel in the romantic Victorian era wealth, lifestyle and luxuries of Dundurn’s inhabitants –the MacNab family.

Family Fun at Art Gallery of Hamilton

If you’re looking to visit the AGH sometime with your family throughout the year, try one of their monthly Family Fun Days.

Catch a Ride at Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology Steamer Days

We recently took a little exploratory trek out to the lower industrial tip of Hamilton to check out the Steam and Technology Museum‘s summer kick off -Mechanical 3 in 1 Weekend.

It’s Here… Maple Syrup Season!

The best part of getting over a harsh Canadian winter is that we are rewarded in spring with the gift of sweet, sweet maple syrup.

A Family Outing to Hendrie Valley

This winter we took our first family seasonal visit to Hendrie Valley. It’s a forested marshy area that is part of the Royal Botanical Gardens World Biosphere Reserve tucked in just west of the McQuesten (High-Level) Bridge heading towards Burlington.
