This Hamilton-based, JUNO-nominated Indigenous artist combines various genres and performance styles to inspire listeners with emotionally impactful work tied to her traditional Cree and Metis Indigenous roots. She's one of the headlining performers at this year's online 2020 JUNO Awards.
Flatten the Curve Weekly Music Classes
After launching daily online music class in the early days of the pandemic, Arkells frontman Max Kerman switched gears (after 58 consecutive days!) to make these sought after-live streams weekly. LT the Monk Appearances
Originally from the UK, this hip-hop artist now calls Hamilton home. Since the COVID pandemic struck, LT the Monk has been connecting with fans through regular live streams on his Facebook and Instagram pages, in-person deliveries of merch and delicious patties from Hamilton's Jamaican Patty Shack, footwork dance challenges, and the release a mini documentary London Made, East Coast Trained that tells the story of his musical journey to Hamilton.

Hamilton songwriter and performer Terra Lightfoot has gained a large following for her unique and powerful vocals. In addition to ongoing online concerts and virtual events, Lightfoot is connecting with fans weekly with her Classic All-Request Wednesday livestream performances which include covers on a theme and promote local Hamilton businesses.

Kojo ‘Easy’ Damptey
You can tune in to hear this Hamilton based afro-soul singer and songwriter's stirring music on the airwaves including CBC's Big City, Small World, which recently aired a track from Damptey's latest record: Giants: Stories of Existence, Resilience & Resistance. The album celebrates the resilience of Black Lives Matter and Standing Rock movements among others and combines different genres to create a cohesive Afro-Soul sound. Hamilton-based contributors include Hamilton Youth Slam Poets, Canadian Hip Hop group Canadian Winter, and rapper Mother Tareka.
The Trews Virtually
After shooting and releasing a video for their newest single "God Speed Rebel" from safety of their own homes (starring family members and pets), the Hamilton based band The Trews continue to find ways to connect with fans virtually, including live virtual concerts on different platforms and regular "Jam with J.A.M" episodes on Instagram Live featuring interviews with guitarist John-Angus MacDonald and his growing playlist.
