Tiger-Cat linebacker (just named leading tackler in TiCat history) and proud Hamilton resident Simoni Lawrence can’t wait to welcome fans from across the country for the 110th Grey Cup.

Follow along as he shares his perfect day in Hamilton for some inspiration on what to see, eat and do before and after the big game.

1st Stop: Tim Hortons

No matter where you are in Hamilton, chances are you're close to a Tim Hortons. So the first thing I'd do is stop at the closest Tim's and grab myself a 20-pack of Timbits. I love them all, but everyone knows they better give me a few extra birthday cakes. By the way, the first-ever Tim Hortons location is still right here in Hamilton on Ottawa Street North.

2nd Stop: Breakfast at Jet Cafe

I’ve got to start my day off right with the best fried egg, ham and cheese sandwich in the City at Jet Cafe on King Street in downtown Hamilton. The Jet English Muffin with home fries is my go-to, but you can't go wrong with anything on that breakfast menu.

3rd Stop: Tim Hortons Field for Practice

My perfect day would absolutely have to include some football and what better way to do that than spending some time with my teammates at Tim Hortons Field? This year is extra special because the Grey Cup game will be played right here in Hamilton on Sunday, December 12.

4th Stop: Lunch at Ellis Kitchen

Hands down my favourite lunch spot in the city for some authentic Caribbean cuisine is Ellis Kitchen. The jerk chicken, the oxtail, the macaroni pie… yes, please!

5th Stop: Barry’s Jewellers

My day wouldn’t be complete without some jewelry shopping at Barry’s on Upper James Street on the Hamilton ‘mountain’. When I’m looking for the best diamond chains, gold rope chains and earrings, my friends Barry and Cindy always take care of me!

6th Stop: Devil’s Punch Bowl

Are you scared of heights? I hope not. My favourite place to hike near my place is the Devil's Punch Bowl Conservation Area. The lookout and waterfall are amazing and they have an incredible hidden gem of a bakery too!

7th Stop: Dinner time at Radius

I’m sure you can tell by now, but I love to eat and I love good food. So of course I’m stopping at Radius for dinner! Steak and oysters in an amazing atmosphere. That's really all you need to know.

8th Stop: Zen Lounge

To end the night, I'm hitting up Zen Lounge on John Street for some great vibes and great music. The decor is fire, the staff is friendly and it's my favourite spot for some night life fun in the city.
